Due to popular demand, JELD-WEN has added two new designs to its Rio patio doors range.

The new Pattern SH and Pattern GG styles come in the FSC Chain of Custody certified hardwood timber for which Rio is renowned. Popular since its release in 2007, Rio is a classic French door that has all the good looks and character that means it perfectly complements both traditional or contemporary homes. Rio’s popularity is largely due to the way it maximises the amount of natural light in the home, helping to bring the outdoors indoors and creating a light and airy living space.

Available in three convenient sizes, the Rio doorset enables homeowners to add value and style to their home whilst maximising energy efficiency. The attractive door panels are supplied with 24mm ‘Low E’ insulating glass units, which means they meet with the latest Part L requirements for energy efficiency. The Rio patio range, which is outward opening and therefore makes best use of space, is supplied unfinished for buyers to paint or stain to suit their own tastes. Rio also features high specification gold-effect ironmongery to enhance the overall quality look and feel of this attractive doorset.

There is a choice of four styles of Rio patio doors, which are available in 1200mm, 1500mm and 1800mm sizes and complement JELD-WEN’s existing collection of both hardwood and softwood patio doorsets. These patio doors will suit any style of house and are designed not only for its aesthetic benefits, but also to keep the worst of the weather at bay. Rio patio doorsets are manufactured from 54mm thick solid hardwood, which will retain its elegant appearance, if well maintained, for many years.
