Grand
Designs Good for Wood as Masterframe Unveils New Timber Sash
Sash
specialist Masterframe Windows opened up a new sector of the market for
its Bygone Preferred Installers (BPIs) after exhibiting at Grand Designs
in May. The Essex-based manufacturer unveiled a new, timber version of
its flagship Bygone Collection window, available exclusively to BPIs.
Masterframe has already quoted for £147,000 worth of business from
Grand Designs for its BPI network, with many more quality leads in the
pipeline.
Although I've often fought the case for PVC-U, says Alan Burgess,
I've got nothing against wood. For some people and some properties,
timber is the right material. As Chair of the GGF's Home Improvement Executive,
I'll still speak out against misinformed anti-PVC tirades. But for me,
and most homeowners, it's design and performance above all. Masterframe's
strategy has always been to compete for customers on the quality of product
- noted in a recent double-page spread in the Financial Times (Entrepreneur,
p34-5, May 10/May 11).
Alan continues: Masterframe has led the field in window innovations,
and we believe our range of Secured By Design and A-C energy rated sashes
are the best on the market.
