New Enclosures are the Cat's Whiskers

Listers' new Qristal doors and windows are turning up in some surprising places these days. Stoke on Trent installer Norman Barker chose Qristal when he was asked to install first class pet accommodation at Blakeley Farm Cattery in Staffordshire.

'It's not often I see anything new these days, but building double glazed holiday homes for cats was certainly a first for me.' Says Norman.

Kirsty Dugdale, the cattery's proprietor came up with the idea of PVCu enclosures while looking at her own double glazing. 'Cats hate draughts,' she says, 'So this seemed a sensible way of ensuring they'd be snug and secure. It also makes the enclosures much quicker and easier to clean - which is important, because cats are fastidious guests.'

Lister Trade Frames MD Mark Warren was very impressed by Norman's work when he visited the cattery recently. 'We're always interested in what our customers are up to, and this is certainly an unusual application. We did offer Secured by Design door locks throughout, but apparently there's not that much danger from cat burglars!'
