launches Polyspan Optimum
Ultraframe
says that it now offers installers the most efficient polycarbonate
on the market. The new 25mm five wall Polyspan Optimum is available
in two exclusive colours, grey and blue. The latest polycarbonate specification
provides the ultimate in solar control, coupled with excellent light
transmission properties and market leading thermal efficiency.
Available
on all Ultraframe roofing systems, this high performance glazing offers
installers a cost-effective and lightweight solution to combat solar
heat gain in conservatories. Polyspan Optimum has a solar heat gain
coefficient of just 0.26, which means that it blocks out 74% of solar
heat while maintaining a high level of light transmission into the conservatory.
It features two co-extruded U.V. protective layers that provide the
sheet with exceptional resistance to ageing. Although lightweight, Polyspan
Optimum is virtually shatterproof and 200 times stronger than glass.
Ultraframe’s Polyspan Optimum also provides excellent thermal properties,
with a ‘U’ value of just 1.5 W/m2K, compared to 1.6 on standard
25mm polycarbonate and 1.1 on Conservaglass Optimum.
The company says that overall, Polyspan Optimum offers the optimum performance
compared to the other choices of polycarbonates.
