Digitizing - Most Efficient Shaped Glass Handling

manufacturers keep complaining about template handling and all the work
involved with them until a final product leaves the factory for being
shipped to the customer, even though there is a product available in
the market called Virtual Digitizing since 2003 supporting companies
to work highly efficient processing irregular shapes.
SOFTSOLUTION first introduced Virtual Digitizing into the glass market
during the Vitrum Show in June 2003. Since that time more than 100 customers
worldwide have made the investment for Virtual Digitizing which proofs
the flexibility and efficiency as well as the gained precision using

Using Virtual Digitizing step by step:
* take a digital photo of the template or object you would like to measure
and download it into Virtual Digitizing
* mark the outline of the shape either fully automatically or manually,
depending on the template quality
* define or digitise drill wholes, cut outs or any kind of inside contours
* manage to add grinding additions
* define size changes for stepped IG units
* create DXF files to import them into existing optimisation packages,
cutting tables or other software packages
* save all done work into an archive
SOFTSOLUTION has made sure that all features within Virtual Digitizing
have been kept easy to use so that training and installation until going
live takes only one day!
It is also important to understand that Virtual Digitizing can also
be applied to on-site measuring. This means creating templates is not
a must anymore which again increases efficiency starting to solve the
first expensive problem - creating them.
