Launches New Commercial System

has launched a new 55mm window system specifically aimed at helping
those customers that work in the commercial sector.
Forming part of the on-going development and investment in the ‘Dualframe’
range, the launch of the 55mm system follows two years of strong growth
in both the public and private commercial markets.
As well as being designed to meet BS7950 and offering high levels of
security performance, the 55mm system was designed to offer high weather
performance and meets BS6375 Part 1 Exposure Category with 600Pa Air
Permeability, 600Pa Water Penetration and 2400Pa gust loading. The system
can be used to form fixed lights, top and side hung and tilt-before-turn
windows to suit the widest variety of applications and can also be incorporated
into Sapa’s recently launched MRV Curtain Walling system.
Casements can be internally or externally beaded and the Eurogroove
vent design allows for industry-standard hardware to be used for maximum
design flexibility and cost-effectiveness.
The new 55mm system uses many of the same components and tooling as
the rest of the Dualframe range, which will allow fabricators to switch
their production easily and swiftly depending on their requirements.
This is of particular benefit and importance to the increasing number
of businesses that span both the commercial and residential sectors.
The polyamide thermal barrier used throughout the Dualframe range ensures
compliance with Part L of the Building Regulations using only hard coat
low emissivity glass with standard spacers to double glazed units.
