Rehau Launches Rehau-Edge

Rehau-Edge, the new fully sculptured version of Rehau's successful S706 70mm system, has now been officially launched.

The system, which previewed at Glassex this year, has been developed to give Rehau customers access to the potentially lucrative sculptured sector of the PVC-U market which now accounts for around 20% of all profile sold.

Wolfgang Gorner, Rehau 's Business Unit Manager, commented on the launch: ‘We expect Rehau -Edge to perform particularly well in the domestic sector where its decorative edging will appeal to style conscious homeowners who want to add character to their properties. It can be sold either as an authentic looking replacement for timber or as an upgrade for outdated early PVC-U installations.

‘It is aimed at a sector of the market which is holding up fairly well in the current economic climate so its launch is very well timed.’

Rehau-Edge has all the proven performance benefits and quality certifications as Rehau’s S706 chamfered system and can be manufactured alongside the existing version with just minor modifications required to weld blocks and corner cleaners.

It incorporates nine main profiles including sashes, frames and mullions in white, Golden Oak and Rosewood, and is compatible with all the supplementary profiles in the existing S706 system. It can be fabricated with or without integral gaskets and can be used to manufacture a complete range of window, door and conservatory styles.

Rehau is supporting the launch of Rehau-Edge with new consumer literature and sample cases, a new trade brochure, technical literature and an ongoing marketing campaign.
