Quick 'Turn On' from Quantal
Rotafit™
is an effortless twist-on bar-to-gallery fixing system from Quantal
Conservatory Roofing Systems that speeds up installation, eliminates
radius cut glazing and ensures perfect geometry, the company claims.
It consists of a male component that is factory fitted to the glazing
bars and a female component situated on the newly designed gallery.
The two fit together quickly and easily by inserting and twisting, and
a safety block is pushed behind the mechanism to hold it fast.
Rotafit™ (pictured right) is part of a package of products specially
developed by Quantal to offer installers significant time saving and
lower costs, while maintaining the traditional styling that is the Quantal
trademark.
In addition to the obvious timesaving benefits, Rotafit™ offers
improved weather sealing and increases the strength and integrity of
the roof. It can be used for pitches from 15 to 37.5 degrees.
Combining all the advantages of a fixed pitch ridge with the versatility
of a 22 to 30 degree variable range, UniRidge™ is a new concept.
It will accept 25mm and 32 mm glazing options and the eaves beam can
be fitted with a variety of claddings, including the new sculptured
Heritage adjustable architrave.
And to finish off any installation, the newly designed clip-on ridge
cover is quickly and easily secured into place without any mechanical
fixings. The registered design eliminates the cresting channel and the
need for screws, which in turn offers excellent weather sealing. It
comes with clip-on wall flashing trim for improved sealing and an enhanced
ridge mounting bracket for flexible wall fixing.
Installation times are speeded up still further with the use of new
'TwinFast' fitter-friendly fixings. The retainer assembly simply slides
into place to make short work of attaching glazing bars to both variable
and fixed pitch roofs. All nuts are accessed from above to make life
even easier for installers, especially when working at height with cold
fingers.
