Six
New Thermlock Profiles put Sheerframe Ahead
Sheerframe
systems company LB Plastics Ltd has extended its Thermlock reinforcing
range with the addition of six new thermally enhanced reinforcing profiles.
Thermlock is now available for the complete Sheerframe 6000 and 7000
co-extruded window system as well as for the Sheerframe composite door
outerframe and the traditional Sheerframe 70 mm profile suites.
Thermlock, which has also been extended into the Sheerframe fully reversible
window system, is quieter, cleaner and easier to cut than conventional
steel. It offers better rigidity and deflection resistance and hardware
fixings are more secure, increasing the security of the doors and windows.
The thermal benefits of Thermlock allow fabricators to meet Part L or
Part J in Scotland on fully reinforced windows without the need to resort
to exotic glazing.
Says Sheerframe product director David Strang, As well as being
the most technically ingenious reinforcing solution, the in-house patented
process has helped guarantee continuous supply and counteract the cost
effects that have spread across most steel products in the last few
months.
Because Thermlock is available exclusively to Sheerframe fabricators,
it gives them a distinct market advantage over competitors using traditional
reinforcing profile. Thermlock, coupled with the co-extruded profile,
makes Sheerframe the most advanced window system available.
