K2's
New Celsius Launch is a Clear Winner
K2
Glass
has added Celsius Clear performance glass to its Celsius range. Designed
to offer the solar reflection, energy efficiency and glare reduction
benefits that have made the existing Celsius range successful, Celsius
Clear is a neutral glass that allows light to flood into the conservatory
whilst maintaining a temperate ambience.
Explains
Iain Whittaker from K2 Glass: The success of the Celsius range
has been phenomenal as more and more consumers realise the benefits
of thermal performance glass over standard glass and polycarbonate.
Celsius is now so popular that it is being used throughout the entire
conservatory installation, not just as a roofing solution. Therefore,
we have extended the range and developed Celsius Clear, to offer a wider
range of choice to the consumer, whatever the design and location of
the conservatory.
Suitable for the vertical frames of a conservatory, Celsius Clear means
that it maximises light transmission and ensures homeowners can make
the most of the views from their conservatory while overcoming issues
normally associated with glass. Able to reflect 58% of solar energy
experienced over the summer months, the company says that the performance
glass also outperforms standard glass by 50% in terms of energy efficiency,
helping to reduce heating bills and deliver a pleasant and comfortable
environment all year round.
Developed specifically to look like standard glass in terms of aesthetics
and ability to enhance natural light, and reduce glare from the sun
by 40% as compared to standard glass. This means that homeowners can
enjoy their conservatories even on the sunniest days.
Celsius Clear is part of an ongoing investment in product development
at K2 Glass and upholds the company's commitment to providing the highest
quality products with measurable benefits. More than 100% quieter than
polycarbonate roofs during heavy rainfall, Celsius Clear conforms to
EN 1279 standard and is backed by a 20-year warranty against seal failure.
Iain adds: The Celsius range has already proved its advantages
over standard glass and polycarbonate and that is reflected in the sales
figures that have increased month on month for the past two years. As
more and more consumers expect to use their conservatory as additional
living space all year round, Celsius offers the ideal solution to maintaining
a comfortable, temperate and quiet environment, whatever the weather.
And with this new addition to the range, installers can now offer even
greater design flexibility.
