Easy-Just,
a New Revolution in Sash Balances
The
increasing popularity in vertical sliding sash windows has highlighted
a major problem for many VSS fabricators in achieving the correct balance
tension to suit the exact specification of each window.
In
a situation where the balance is under-tensioned there is the real possibility
that the window can drop; conversely, over-tensioning can result in
over extending the balance and causing failure. Once the window has
been fully assembled, re-adjusting the tension of each spring balance,
which at best can be a time consuming and fiddly task, with sashes being
completely removed in order to access the individual balance adjusters.
Following an extensive two-year development programme and exhaustive
product testing, J.Banks, the UK hardware manufacturer has now launched
the EASY-JUST range of spiral sash balances.
The new pre-tensioned range of balances features convenient top mounted
screwdriver adjustment for quick and easy access without removing the
window. The unique and fully patented EASY-JUST diecast mechanism has
been specifically designed to include an automatic adjustment stop to
prevent over tensioning and a tension release button, should re-adjustment
be required.
EASY-JUST spiral sash balances represents the latest addition to an
extensive range of new and innovative sash window fittings introduced
by J.Banks this year. The company has recently launched Tilt Arms, Shoes
and Brackets, Tilt Stops and Tilt Catches, all manufactured from Austenitic
Stainless Steel. These new products complement the already well-established
brands of Cam-Lok, Sash-Lok, Sash lifts Ring pulls and Handles.
