The

has expanded with each new edition, now features a fall arrest system.
The Ecosaflex includes a full body harness and two metre energy absorber
lanyard which both conform to EN355. Two karabiners which meet EN362
are supplied with the system.
Commenting on the importance of the addition of the fall arrest system
to the catalogue, Bruce Bradshaw, Business Development Manager at Carl
F Petersen said:
‘Health & Safety Executive statistics reported 71 fatal injuries
in the construction industry in 2004/5 and just under 40% of these deaths
resulted from fatal falls. Additionally, the Work at Height regulations
2005 now require extra precautions to be taken including, in some instances,
the wearing of safety equipment, such as a harness.
‘It is essential, therefore, that safety matters are treated seriously
in the window industry and, by adding the fall arrest system to our
catalogue, we are simplifying the purchasing process.’
