As one of Europe’s largest suppliers of PVC-u windows, door panels, conservatories and sealed units, Camden Group is returning to Glassex for the 2007 show, committing in a big way with a 126m front of the house stand.

Impressed with the many new initiatives developed by the organisers for 2007, one theme in particular highlighted Camden Group’s remit and commitment to energy efficiency perfectly, attracting the company back onto the floor plan. As an example of this proactive action, the company is moving to using the warm edge spacer from Edgetech which offers more in terms of energy efficiency.

With more and more manufacturers realising the full potential of developing and producing energy efficient products, achieving high window energy ratings is a key area of concern amongst fabricators of all sizes, and this is certainly the case for Camden Group. And it is with this in mind that Glassex has specifically developed the Energy Efficiency Zone to cater for the growing needs of the industry, which is emulated across the exhibition floor.

‘Coming back to Glassex was a decision that sits extremely well with us,’ stated Kieran Lavery, Managing Director for Camden Group. ‘With regulations such as Document L always under constant review, the need for local authorities and housing association to keep up-to-date with the latest technologies in window production is crucial and Glassex provides the ideal arena for them to do this. Every effort has been made to attract a raft of the UK’s leading manufacturers and suppliers to this year’s show that deliver every type of glazing related products. With the energy efficiency theme running throughout the whole exhibition, businesses with like-minded attitudes can draw attention to this important industry issue. We are looking forward to showcasing our latest product developments and generating a consistent flow of business to our stand. In addition, we welcome the conservatory prominence as this gives us the opportunity to showcase our dedicated conservatory design and manufacture service.’

The latest offerings from Camden Group to the industry include a vertical slider, previously only available in oak and white but now available in cream. Also, a fully reversible window, the company has launched a range of Forthaven composite doors which will be on display alongside a range of eight foiled colour ranges with matching PVC sill. These comprise Natural, Walnut, Mango, Cream, Black, Oak, Mahogany and Rosewood as well as White PVC. Camden will also be showcasing its 24/7 online ordering and tracking system at the exhibition.

Although not situated within the energy efficiency Zone, Camden Group emulates the show’s redefined focus into this key area perfectly, and the decision to take a prominent stand is something that Glassex Sales Director, Dave Broxton is sure will attract a lot of attention. ‘Having Camden Group back on the floor plan really helps to boost the profile of our exhibition, and with the company taking space at the front of the house not only demonstrates its support for the show, but also helps further extend its commitment to the UK market.’

Already employing around 600 people, Camden has invested £30m with the opening of a new dedicated glass factory, and the acquisition of a sealed unit company, Pilkington K’Mac to ensure Camden’s commitment to supplying glazed frames into the British market in a 7 day turnaround.
